DR. BENJAMIN BAUER

Native to the Golden State, Dr. Benjamin Bauer grew up in southern California. After completing his undergraduate degree, he attended podiatry school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He later completed a 3 year surgical residency in Youngstown, Ohio. Upon completion of his residency training, he moved out west and started private practice at Eastern Podiatry in 2016. Dr. Bauer specializes in general foot and ankle medicine including treatment of orthopedic foot pain, diabetic wound care, skin issues, ingrown toenails, and a variety of other podiatry conditions. Las Vegas has been great for Dr. Bauer because it puts him within arms reach of his childhood stomping grounds of Southern California where you might find him outside of work enjoying surfing and fly fishing. He also enjoys cooking, weight lifting, and spending time with family and friends.

DR. KHA NYUGEN

Dr. Kha Nguyen is a podiatry specialist with specialized training in reconstructive bone and joint surgery of the foot and ankle. He completed his undergraduate degree in integrative physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder. He received his medical degree in California from Western University of Health Sciences and went on to complete a three-year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle credentials in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Nguyen has a special interest in providing exceptional and personalized care for all patients with foot, ankle, and lower leg conditions. He works with each patient individually to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to their unique needs and goals, including both non-surgical and, if needed, surgical alternatives.

In his free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys running, snowboarding, building custom keyboards, and playing tennis with a focus on maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. He is excited to be practicing in Albuquerque and Los Lunas and looks forward to helping his patients achieve optimal foot health.

EASTERN HISTORY

Eastern Podiatry has been a staple of foot care in Las Vegas for more than 40 years! Starting with Drs. Schmutz and Smith, Eastern was a small podiatry clinic known as Eastern Avenue Podiatry before moving to Pecos-McLeod in 1996. They popularity and services was growing and a larger space was needed to accommodate the patient flow. As time moved on, Dr. Schmutz retired in 2009 with Dr. Smith close behind in 2016, where Drs. Bauer and Hendershot are now your local foot and ankle specialists that offer some of the best foot care in all of Nevada.
